ROBERT N. KLEIN
Robert N. Klein, 82, of Plum City was born January 4, 1921 and died December 30, 2003 at Plum City Care Center, Plum City.

Bob was born in the town of Union, Pierce County, rural Plum city; a son of Nicholas and Rose Hoffman Klein. He was raised in that community also. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater of War. Robert married Dorothy Lewis February 20, 1947 in Elmwood. After marriage, they lived and farmed in rural Plum City. After he retired from farming, Bob managed Nugget Lake Park for several years. In 1991, they moved to Durand, and later the Arkansaw community. His wife, Dorothy passed away November 20, 1997. Bob was a past Plum City School Board member, and a member of Plum City American Legion Post #365. For the past five years, he had been s resident of Plum City Care Center.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Judy (Joe) Fischer, White Bear Lake, Minnesota, Lori Klein, Plum city; one son, William Klein, Spring Valley; three grandchildren, Beckie Corey, and Jody; two great-grandchildren, Gage and Sophie; three brothers, William Klein, Hubertus, Wisconsin, Nick Klein, and Bernard Klein, both of St. Paul, MN; and one sister, Rosemary Unser, Plum City.

Bob was preceded in death besides his wife, Dorothy Lewis Klein; his parents, Nicholas and Rose Hoffman Klein; two brothers, Ray Klein and Ed Klein; three sisters, Margaret Klein, Pauline Hartung, and Florence Dellwo.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, January 3, 2004 at Rhiel Funeral Home, Durand. Rev. John Hazen and Fr. Ambrose Blenker will officiate. Burial will be at Union Cemetery, Plum City. Arrangements by Rhiel Funeral Home, Durand.
